Cold-rolled steel chassis is formed and welded, corners are radiused, and hardware is welded making Sunstreamer a strong well-engineered fixture. Ballast is open type, high-quality printed circuit board totally enclosed by fixture. Sound rating is "A", the QUIETEST available. Ballast is easily replaced in the field and includes fast glass fuse for ballast overload protection. One spare fuse is included. Our premium finish is electrostatic powder coated inside and outside the fixture for a long-lasting, easy-to-clean and attractive appearance. Our reflector is a highly specialized DESIGN FOR SUNSTREAMER, with 94% reflectivity, and solid backing. A very well-engineered reflector allows excellent focus of reflected light energy on plant surfaces.

Our Sunstreamers ship with four lamps giving you the option of using two 4100 Kelvin lamps with average color temperature similar to bright sunlight or two 3000 Kelvin lamps that move the average into the red spectrum to improve flowering. Both lamps are now included. The high-frequency electronic ballast drives dual, 55-watt biax lamps @ 84.3 lumens/watt with a color index of 82. New light fixtures receive a two hour operating test. During this time digital electrical measurement is made of operating parameters. Output is verified by light meter and temperatures are taken by infrared thermometer.

AREA COVERAGE

For high-energy plants one horizontally-mounted light will cover a maximum of 2 ft x 3 ft. Two horizontal lights end-to-end cover an area 2 ft x 6 ft. Two horizontal lights side-by-side cover 3 ft x 5 ft when set 12 inches apart.

For low-energy plants such as bonsai or African violets, one light will cover an area of 3 ft x 5 ft. Hang fixture 36 in. above for seedlings or fresh clones. For additional shading, AN OPEN WEAVE cloth hung 24 in. below the light will help new starts adjust.
